Daniel Edward Reeves is a former American football defender and coach of the National Rugby League. In his 38 years with the NFL, Reeves appeared in nine Super Bowl games, his third most personal appearance. He served as head coach for 23 seasons from 1981 to 2003, mainly with the Denver Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons. As a player, he spent his entire eight-season career for the Dallas Cowboys, who signed him as an untrained freelance player in 1965. He was featured at the Broncos Ring of Fame in 2014. Reeves made his first two Super Bowl appearances in his competitive career, winning one of Super Bowl VIs. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach for Cowboys, where he scored three more wins and was part of the team that won Super Bowl XII. As head coach of the Broncos for 12 seasons, Reeves led the team to three championships in Super Bowl XXI, Super Bowl XXII and Super Bowl XXIV, each ending in loss.
