• In 2011, Banks was jailed on a weapon charge and convicted to three months in prison. Later, he was released on bail, only to be sent back to serve 87 more days. On 5 June 2013, Banks was arrested after allegedly throwing a loaded.40-caliber handgun into his car when he was approached by the police on South Green Street in Chicago. He was charged with illegal possession of a weapon by a suspect. He was held on a $100,000 bond and his lawyer said he had nine witness affidavits supporting Durk 's innocence. One witness also confirmed that the gun was his. Banks were released on July 18, 2013.
• On 4 September 2015, hours before the scheduled concert at the Theater of Living Arts in Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a shooting took place, leaving Durk's tour bus damaged by gunfire and one man dead on the scene. Durk has not been charged or questioned by the police.
• On 19 August 2016, when he was arrested on charges of felony assault, he was convicted of neglecting probation; the judge dismissed the charges.
